Ingredients

  • Oats - 1 cup

  • Liver (beef

  • chicken

  • duck

  • or venison) - 0.5 pound

  • Coconut oil - 1 tablespoon

  • Egg - 2 large eggs

  • Whole wheat flour - 1 cup

  • Ground turmeric - 1 teaspoon


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.

  2. Prepare the liver by removing it from the package and cleaning it if necessary (especially for wild game).

  3. Add oats to a food processor and blend until it reaches a flour-like consistency. Set aside.

  4. Combine liver, eggs, and coconut oil in the food processor and puree until smooth.

  5. Mix in the wheat flour, oat flour (from the oats), and turmeric until well combined.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, smoothing it into an even layer.

  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes at 325°F (163°C).

  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.

  9. Lift the brownie out using the parchment and transfer to a cutting board.

  10. Cut into bite-sized pieces suitable for your dog, then arrange on a baking sheet.

  11. Return to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes to crisp up the treats.

  12. Cool completely before serving to your dog.
