Ground Turkey Vegetable Dinner

This easy ground turkey dog food recipe mixes ground turkey, chicken giblets, brown rice, carrots, and kale for a homemade high protein dog food. Chicken giblets can be omitted if not available.

RECIPE DETAILS

Ingredients

  • brown rice - 1 cup

  • ground turkey - 2 lbs

  • chicken giblets - 2 cups

  • carrots - 2 whole

  • kale - 3 cups

  • coconut oil - 1 tablespoon


Instructions

  1. After washing the rice boil with 3 cups of hot water.

  2. Drain and set aside to cool.

  3. Heat the coconut oil in a large saucepan and add the ground turkey.

  4. Cook on a medium heat for 3-5 minutes until it is brown.

  5. Add the chicken giblets and cook for another 5-8 minutes until cooked through.

  6. Stir occasionally to make sure even cooking.

  7. Add the grated carrot and cut kale and stir into the cooked meat.

  8. Cover with a sauce pan lid and cook for 10 minutes until the vegetables are cooked through.

  9. Stir in the cooked brown rice and allow the mixture to cook for serving temperature.
