Easy Frozen Veg and Protein Recipe

Make delicious homemade dog food in less than 30 minutes. This recipe is great for dogs with allergies and can be customized easily based on available ingredients.

Ingredients

  • Protein (e.g. chicken, beef) - 6 pounds

  • Frozen vegetables - 3 bags

  • Pure pumpkin puree - 1 can

  • Olive oil - 3 tablespoons

  • Coconut oil - 3 tablespoons

  • Dog supplement/vitamin - 1 as needed


Instructions

  1. Cook the meat with 3 tablespoons of olive oil and drain the excess fat. If using beef wash off the extra oils and fat in a strainer.

  2. Optionally grate the frozen vegetables in a food processor to make them small and easily digestible for the dogs.

  3. In a large bowl mix the cooked meat, pumpkin puree, vegetables, 3 tablespoons of melted coconut oil and the supplement.

  4. Spoon the mixture into ziplock bags and freeze until ready to use.
