RECIPE DETAILS
Ingredients
ground beef (or any protein) - 3 pounds
uncooked millet (or any other whole grain e.g. quinoa, rice, pasta) - 1 cup
olive oil - 1 tablespoon
carrot, shredded - 1 unit
zucchini, shredded - half
squash, shredded - half
apple finely diced - 1 unit
calcium powder - 1 tablespoon
unsweetened coconut flakes or coconut oil - 0.25 cup
pumpkin puree (canned or homemade) - 0.5 cup
Canine Complete (multivitamin supplement) - 1 tablespoon
Instructions
Bring 1 cup of whole grain to boil in a pot of water. I overcook it so that it’s soft and easily digestible.
Drain.
While that’s boiling shred/chop the veggies.
Cook ground beef with olive oil. Drain excess juices.
Mix everything together! No need to cook the veggies. Overcooking vegetables removes the natural nutrients. The heat from the cooked meat and whole grain will soften the vegetables up a bit.
